Job Title: Out of Hour Concierge Security Staff
Job Description:
Chase Services Group is seeking dedicated individuals to fulfil the role of Overnight Security Staff for Our Esteemed Client in Bristol. As an Overnight Security Staff member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of Client’s residents, staff, and visitors during non-operational hours. This position requires individuals who are committed to promoting cohesive community relations, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to professional boundaries at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a continuous on-site presence during designated hours, including overnight, weekends, and holidays, ensuring a safe environment for all.
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional boundaries in all interactions.
- Act swiftly in emergency situations by contacting the necessary emergency services and Client’s designated ‘on-call’ staff.
- Security Officer will serve as the first point of contact for any out-of-hours issues or emergencies, ensuring all relevant parties are informed promptly.
- Monitor CCTV systems actively and conduct regular patrols to supervise entry and exit points, ensuring the safety of residents, staff, visitors, and property.
- Collaborate with Client Staff to gather essential information and accurately report incidents using the appropriate forms.
- A proven ability to work with young people in accommodation settings, applying knowledge gained within the last two years is desirable.
- Security officer should participate actively in Client’s Health and Safety protocols to ensure compliance and safety at all times.
- Interact with residents respectfully and professionally, upholding non-discriminatory practices and providing care.
- Maintain positive relations with Client neighbours and the broader community through respectful and positive communication.
- Must wear the designated uniform and identification badges consistently, including the SIA Security Guard License.
- Having a comprehensive understanding of the issues affecting vulnerable young people to ensure effective support and escalation when necessary.
- Security officer should participate in relevant training sessions provided by Client/Company to meet the evolving needs of our residents.
- Perform other related duties as required to support the team and enhance security measures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid SIA Licence
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Previous experience working with young people in accommodation settings preferred.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations regarding safeguarding and security.
Shift patterns:
Monday – Friday 17:00-21:00 (5 Hrs Per Shift)
Monday – Friday 21:00-09:00 (11 Hrs Per Shift)
Saturday & Sunday 0900-2100 (12 Hrs/per shift)
Saturday & Sunday 2100-0900 (12 Hrs/per shift)
