As an employer, you can purchase blocks of courses at greatly discounted rates, and your HR department can have a record of who did what and when, for training and compliance purposes.
For some time, the SIA has been looking at possible ways to introduce CPD into frontline security officer licensing. This desire became the top-up and refresher courses, which are now mandatory upon individual licence renewal.
