Position: Gatehouse Security Officer 

Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour 

Hours: 60 hours per week, Days, Nights & Weekends

Job Purpose 

The purpose of a security guard's role is to prevent theft or any other illegal activity while providing security for premises and people. 

Job Overview

A Security Guard plays a vital role, being the first point of contact for visitors and responsible for protecting property or people by patrolling sites and acting as access control. 

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Security Officer duties
• Gatehouse duties
• Keeping an accurate record and reporting any incidents or issues to the Area Manager and Security managers on site.
• Demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive, and always approachable when welcoming clients and customers
• Work permit checks
• Checks within the premises
• Carry out random searches
• At all times, represent the business in the right manner
• Patrolling of the premises
• Radio comms 
• Basic knowledge of health and safety

Requirements:

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor/Security Guarding Licence
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
• Suitable method of transport
• Customer Service experience
• An ambitious personality and willing to grow with the business
