TEAM LEADER

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• VIP Security are looking for a motivated and dynamic SIA licensed team leader, to work at and supervise teams at various locations across Essex and surrounding areas.
• Someone who will be flexible with hours and confident in all aspects of security
• Minimum of an SIA Door Supervision Licence
• Full driving licence and own car desirable

After a successful completion of your 3 month probation, improved rates will be offered. Rates vary depending on the venue you will be working at and the role you will be undertaking:

Security guarding: £10.10

Event team leader: £12.00

Door team leader: £14.00

WHAT WILL WE EXPECT IN RETURN? 

• As a Door Supervisor you will ensure that the safety & security of customers and the relevant venue is your main priority. Any confrontational situations should be dealt with & reported in a professional manner.
• You should have excellent customer service skills, as well as great communication for both reporting with management & handling sensitive scenarios.
• This is a full-time role which will include covering security gaps across the area detailed, whether that be known as a holiday or ad-hoc absence cover for existing officers. As such, you must be flexible when it comes to working arrangements and sites covered.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• For you to hold a valid and in date SIA Licence
• Approachable and well presented
• Good verbal communication skills
• A great eye for detail, with high personal standards.
• Punctuality and a desire to succeed.

ABILITY TO COMMUTE

Driving licence and own transport is desirable in this role due to the locations of the sites and venues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To supervise staff
• Monitor staff welfare
• Carry out management inspections
• Fully brief and supervise teams for various sites and events
• Controlling entry and exit route
• Customer management to maintain a safe environment within the venue
• Crowd control
• Supervising customer arrivals
• Carrying out ID checks
• Screening and searching individuals
• Be a highly visible and proactive security presence
• Meet and greet staff and visitors and be the first point of contact for any issues
• Ensure a positive customer experience for all visitors/customers
• First responder when incidents need investigating
• Reporting directly to assistant manager and senior security manager
