Churchill Support Services are seeking a professional Distribution Centre Security Officer to protect a customer’s site, assets and personnel at a prestigious location in Tamworth.

You will be a visual deterrent on site to help prevent any theft, damage, or other illegal activities taking place.

Your duties would include, but are not limited to, access control, reporting incidents and patrolling.

Customer care and service excellence are high on the agenda and therefore it is crucial that you are able to demonstrate your understanding and experience of these key elements.

The current shift pattern is a fixed pattern of 4on 4off nights with availability for overtime. must be flexible to cover days if needed

Key Responsibilities

Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry  to authorised personnel only
Ensuring that all permitted visitors receive a 'high end' customer experience from entry to exit.
Providing a level of Service Excellence at all times.
Prevent loss and damage.
Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate accordingly
Provide a 'Front of House' Concierge service provision as and when requested
Take accurate notes to complete reports, logbook entries and all relevant paperwork to a high standard -  including reporting in detail any incidents occurring whilst on duty
Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
Ensure risk assessment and assignment instructions are always followed to meet requirements
You may also need to attend training courses, as requested
To take effective action in an emergency and co-operate fully with the relevant services
To assist in training new security officers in all aspects of their job if required
Enforce all relevant health and safety requirements at all times
Carry out any other duties of a reasonable request by the client
Person Specification
Essential

Valid SIA License
Personal presentation of a very high standard
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in a customer facing role
Good Organisational skills
Computer literate
High level of professionalism
Reliable with excellent time keeping and attendance
Ability to use initiative and be adaptable
Ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team
Desirable

Experience working with the Security industry
Own transport
