SME Security Manager - National Role

Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE) + Company Electric Car

Traditionally the role will be a Monday to Friday working 40hrs a week to suit the business needs. (Flexible start and finish time and must be prepared to work out of hours and on occasional weekends)

The role is National Coverage however, majority of sites are based in the North of England.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Security Manager to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in 14Forty.

As the Security Manager for the UK, you will work within the UK business units to develop and execute a security strategy for identifying and managing security concerns related to people, assets and brand, as well as serve as the guiding authority for advice and practical support in the field of security management.

The candidate must have a solid understanding of business risks from protest, crime, and terrorism, as well as current knowledge of best practices for mitigating security risks to people, assets, and brands. This will require detailed experience and access to up-to-date information from external sources, where necessary. It entails a strong ability to influence and communicate at senior levels, both internally and externally. The role also requires acting as a business representative.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• To be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Security service provision (SIA, ACS British Standards) 
• To provide security Compliance advice and guidance, both physical and technical, to the operations teams in support of the Compass Management team who have the responsibility for the delivery of the Security Service, including guarding, systems, and physical security.  
• To provide specialist input to the Operations team to support day to day business
• To review service levels with security sub-contractors and conduct operational audits to ensure compliance, contractual, legislative, statutory, and local requirements in respect of security services, including welfare and client specific requirements, are met.
• To interface with all sub-contractors on behalf of Compass regarding development and implementation of systems, procedures, best practice and sharing of resources
• To be the main point of contact with Compass security compliance. Liaising directly with the Compliance manager during Audit periods ensuring audits are planned and objectives met
• To ensure all suppliers invoice at the correct charge rates to include contractual MI

About You:

Essential

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Security Manager in a corporate security environment 
• Demonstrate experience of Strategic Planning for a National business
• Audit Compliance Qualification - ISO 9001 or similar 
• SIA Licence - Frontline Guarding (DS) / CCTV
• Computer Literate specifically with Microsoft Office
• Flexibility in working hours
• Strong Management experience and skills

Desirable

• Security Technology experience – CCTV, Access Control, Alarm Systems
• Ex-Military/Police background desired
• Educated to HNC standard
• IOSH Qualification or Equivalent
• Formal Project management experience or qualification
