Security Officer

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for the safety and security of St Johns shopping Centre, its tenants and customers. Your duties will include:

• Patrolling of a shopping centre including the surrounding area as instructed by centre management
• Performing regular health and safety checks
• Providing a safe environment for shoppers in all public areas
• Liaising with Store Managers and local authorities
• Regular and accurate report writing
• Ensure that contractors on site adhere fully to the centre procedures for contractor management
• Ensure that all incidents are reported and logged
• To be aware of hostile reconnaissance and report any unusual activity immediately
• Dealing with first aid situations when they arise
• Carrying out any other reasonable management requests
• Complete all E-Learning and Training as required
• Proactive interaction with the general public
• Provide high levels of customer service to all stakeholders including shoppers, retailers, contractors and partners at all times.

As a Security Officer you will need:

• Valid SIA Licence and First Aid certification – For the right candidate Westgrove may be willing to provide Training in order to obtain a licence
• A valid CCTV licence
• You must be flexible
• Highly motivated
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• To be able to use technology
