Security Access Control Officer Barrow in Furness

£13.50 per hour 

Monday - Friday

06.00 -18.00 

To control and monitor access to the site, ensuring that only authorised personnel, vehicles, and visitors are permitted entry. The role is critical in maintaining site security, safety, and compliance with company and client procedures.

Responsibilities 

• Manage all access and egress points to the site
• Verify identification and credentials of staff, contractors, and visitors
• Maintain accurate records of all site entries and exits (manual or electronic systems)
• Issue visitor passes and ensure sign-in/sign-out procedures are followed
• Conduct vehicle checks where required
• Ensure compliance with site security procedures and Assignment Instructions
• Respond to incidents, breaches, or emergencies in line with protocols
• Liaise with site management, staff, and emergency services when necessary
• Carry out regular patrols (if required) to support overall site security

Key skills / Experience 

• Previous experience in a security or access control role preferred
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Professional and courteous manner at all times
• Basic IT skills (for access systems, emails, reporting tools)

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding)

Right to work in the UK

Excellent level of written and spoken English for radio communication

Banksman / Vehicle marshal training desirable
