Description

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Shift Duty Manager to successfully lead and manage a night shift Security team.

The role will be fully responsible for all eventualities during each shift, ensuring the security operations are delivered consistently to the highest standard, guaranteeing a quality customer experience, compliance, and assurance for senior management.

Who we are

We are one of the most famous clubs in world football, with a rich heritage and history of success – read more about our history, here.

Beyond that, we are passionate about our local community and, behind the scenes, we have a wide variety of opportunities and career paths for all. We have a very defined purpose: to act for a winning team, culture and community. We achieve this by ensuring we are courageous in the pursuit of progress, we champion our community and each other, and that we do the right thing (even when no one is looking).

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

We are committed to ensuring that our environments for children, young people and adults at risk remain safe and inclusive. We therefore require successful candidates to complete a DBS check and other essential background checks prior to starting their employment. Depending on the responsibilities of the role, a DBS will be either a basic, standard, or enhanced check.

Your day-to-day

  • Dynamic team management - you'll be managing Supervisors and Security Guards at all three of our sites - Emirates Stadium, Hale End and Sobha Realty Training Centre
  • Maintain internal controls and compliance - you will be leading on fire alarm activations, evacuations, and crisis response, supporting Security senior management with readiness and contingency plans
  • Ensure seamless system operation - you'll be responsible for the operation of the integrated security systems such as access control, MyTag, CCTV, and the fire alarm systems
  • Risk mitigation and management - you will be anticipating potential issues and reducing risk, proposing enhancements and improvements to policies and procedures
  • Deliver operational excellence - you will be preparing and overseeing the major event operation on Queensland Road and our stadium car park
  • Strive for continuous improvement - you'll be implementing change processes to optimise security protocols and procedures, executing the latest trends, best practice, and the role out of new technology
  • Drive your teams development - you will be responsible for the performance, motivation and development of your team members

Please Note: this is a nightshift working pattern of 4 on and 4 off. Occasionally this may also involve working some event day hours.

What we are looking for

  • Proven background in security - you come with a strong understanding of security principles and practices and a familiarity with laws, regulations and industry standards
  • Track record in people management roles - you have excellent leadership and management skills, with a experience in leading and motivating a diverse security team
  • Confident security technologies skills - you have worked with systems such as incident management software, access control systems, fire panels and CCTV surveillance as well as other security-related equipment
  • Strong communicator - you are experience in delivering training, updating, and promoting new techniques and methods relevant to Security operations
  • Innovative thinker - you have demonstrated ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures and programs
  • Proactive problem solving mindset - you are experienced in leading on managing incidents and emergency situations
  • Hold relevant licences - you have an SIA door supervisor licence and SIA CCTV licence, which includes a standard Disclosure and Barring Service check
  • Completed training - you have been trained in counter terrorism such as ACT and completed various See, Check and Notify (SCaN) modules (Desirable)
