Job Title: CCTV Controller (Private Control Room)

• Location: Sitevision Peterborough
  Hours: Weekend Days 0700-1900
  Salary: Competitive rates of pay
  Licence Required: SIA CCTV Licence 

Job Overview

We are recruiting a professional and vigilant CCTV Controller to work within a private CCTV control room. The role is critical to maintaining the safety and security of sites, assets, staff, and visitors, while ensuring full compliance with SIA standards, GDPR, and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live and recorded CCTV footage from a private control room
• Detect, prevent, and report suspicious or criminal activity
• Operate CCTV systems in accordance with SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) standards
• Accurately record incidents, evidential footage, and control room logs
• Liaise with management, mobile patrols, and emergency services when required
• Handle CCTV data requests in line with GDPR and company procedures
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Essential Requirements

• Valid SIA CCTV Licence 
• Good understanding of GDPR, data protection, and CCTV legislation
• Strong observation and decision-making skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Basic IT skills and confidence using control room systems
• Right to work in the UK

Desirable

• Previous experience in a CCTV control room or security environment
• Knowledge of incident reporting and evidential handling
• Familiarity with alarm monitoring and access control systems
