Job Purpose

The purpose is to develop and maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. 

Job Overview 

A High End Retail Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring that personnel and guests have a positive first impression of the venue. As the first point of contact, you will be expected to be friendly and welcoming when guests/staff arrive or leave. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Observe customer behaviour to identify suspicious activity 
• detect and prevent shoplifting incidents 
• approache and detail suspected offenders in line with legal requirements 
• recover stolen goods and evidence 
• liaise wtih police when required
• Protect the store, employees and customer from theft or vandalism
• monitor security systems and patrol the store 
• ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers 
• handle customer services task and assist with any inquiries or directions
• Ensure a professional appearance
• Ensure processes are strictly followed for any visitors to the building
• Deal with complaints and offer fast resolutions escalating where necessary
• Build professional relationships with occupiers and guests ensuring all have a pleasant experience

Requirements 

• A valid SIA licence - Door Supervisor or Security Guarding
• Right to work in the UK
• First Aid and Fire Marshal training - (preferable) 
• Flexible, committed and punctual 
• Excellent concentration skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Keen attention to detail 
• Ability to remain calm and deal with emergency situations 
• Customer Service experience
• An ambitious personality and willing to grow with the business
