Event Security Officer

Ministry Protective is recruiting Event Security Operatives based in London to support upcoming events across the region.

We’re looking for professional, reliable operatives who maintain high standards and are willing to travel for event deployments.

Job Purpose

Working in Event Security, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of everyone under your care, including customers, staff, contractors, and members of the public.

Job Overview

The role requires you to work as part of a professional team providing first-class customer service while maintaining the safety, security, and health & safety of all attendees, contractors, and staff at events and venues.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• General patrolling and securing of assigned areas
• Conducting bag and body searches where required
• Producing reports and communicating effectively with management
• Preventing unlawful entry into venues and ensuring safe entry and exit of visitors
• Undertaking necessary legal restraints and control measures in a professional manner
• Completing reports relating to accidents, incidents, or occurrences and ensuring appropriate action is taken
• Interacting with members of the public professionally, honestly, and respectfully, including in challenging situations
• Greeting customers, guests, and employees in a professional and courteous manner
• Crowd management and maintaining a visible security presence
• Assisting event management and emergency services where required

Requirements

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
• PAYE roles only
• BS7858 security screening required
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Good communication skills
• Proven customer service skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Willingness to travel for deployments
• Regular event work available
