Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Security Events Team Leader to lead a security team at a permanent event venue hosting approximately 4–5 events per week. This is a team leading role requiring a professional, proactive, and customer-focused individual who can manage a security team while ensuring the safety, security, and wellbeing of all visitors, staff, contractors, and members of the public.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of security officers, managing event security operations, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service and venue security.
Job Overview
This is a permanent position based at a single event venue. The venue hosts a variety of events throughout the week, requiring the Team Leader to oversee security operations across multiple events and work closely with venue management to ensure smooth and safe event delivery.
The role typically involves 4–5 events per week, with shifts generally lasting between 10 and 12 hours.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of security officers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters during events.
- Conduct pre-event security briefings and allocate staff positions and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with venue management, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Manage the safe arrival, movement, and departure of guests, visitors, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure all security officers maintain professional standards and provide excellent customer service.
- Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Close Protection Licence.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in event or venue security.
- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Duty Manager role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible.
Desirable Qualifications
- Counter Terrorism Awareness Training.
- Experience working within community, hospitality, or religious venues.
Working Pattern
- Permanent venue-based position.
- Approximately 4–5 events per week.
- Typical shifts of 10–12 hours.
