Student Homes - Weekends

Main duties

• Patrol student accommodation buildings and surrounding areas.
• Monitor CCTV systems and security alarms.
• Control access by checking ID cards and visitor sign-ins.
• Respond to fire alarms, emergencies, and welfare incidents.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records.
• Assist students with security concerns, lockouts, or lost property.
• Liaise with emergency services when required.
• Report maintenance issues that could affect safety, such as broken doors, lighting, or fire equipment.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures for buildings.
• Provide a visible, reassuring presence to help prevent crime and antisocial behaviour.
