Security Officer

Unitrust are looking to recruit reliable Security Officer to deliver security officer duties at a prestigious site in Weybridge. The candidate we are looking for will enjoy working with an established team and occasionally. You must enjoy working on your own initiative and have a keen interest in securing our client sites. The successful candidate will be respectful, tactful and provide excellent customer service. You must hold a Security Guarding or Door Supervisor SIA Licence to work within our business.

Hours - Monday to Sunday, Days and Nights, 42-48 hours a week

Rate £14.24 per hour.

Applicants for this position must be:

• Over 18 years of age (SIA licence requirement)
• Must hold a valid SIA licence.
• Must be over 21 and hold a UK Driver licence for minimum 1year.

To work as a Core Officer, providing a high level of customer service at our client site. Act as the first point of
contact for all staff and visitors entering the building. Liaise with the client and stakeholders. Working
alongside the wider Security Team and all service lines on site. Ensuring the protection of persons and
property and thereby the provision of a safe and secure environ

Duties include but are not limited to:

•  The maintenance of good order on site, including the protection of everyone therein against violent
• acts, abuse and accident.
• The protection of the client’s property against loss, theft, damage (including fire and water) and
• waste.
•  The protection of private property belonging to the client, their staff and visitors against loss, theft
• and damage.
•  Prevent offences against the law of the land, UniTrust disciplinary codes and policies and ensure all
• are brought to the attention of the management.
•  Ensure basic fire precautions are in place and means of escape are clear.
• Undertake internal and external patrols and inspections in accordance with Assignment
• Instruction/SOP’s. Utilising the patrolling and reporting system where applicable.
• Working with the reception team meet and greet visitors and ensure relevant security procedures
• are carried out. Some standing (for more than one hour) may be required.
•  Escalating any issues security and maintenance related issues to the Facilities Team by detailed and
• accurate emails/incident reports.
•  Production and administration of access cards for tenants, visitors and contractors for the access
• control system.
• Monitor, escalate and respond to alarms as required with the CCTV, Security & BMS systems.
•  As a part of the Facilities Management Response Team, provide, assistance with emergency
• procedures in accordance with instructions and training.
•  Management of Contractors for the client and tenants. Liaising with tenants particularly during
• tenant’s fit out stage.
•  Completing permit to work forms as required
• Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas. 
• Maintaining an accurate records. 
• Manage ad-hoc projects/tasks. 
• • Monitoring and responding to CCTV and intruder alarms. 
• • Liaison with the Building Services for out of hours service calls 
• • Key Control and management of daily issues. 
• • General security duties and duties in line with the front of house role as requested by the Facilities Team. 

Roll Overview 

• Officers must have the Security Industry (SIA) Training Organisation basic qualification or equivalent experience.
•  Must hold a full UK driving licence. 
• Must be aged 25+ for vehicle insurance policy. 
•  First aid qualification is desired, but not essential, as training can be provided by company. 
• Officers must undergo a minimum of 2 or 3 days on site training. 
• Excellent literacy and communication skills, together with excellent verbal and written English 
• Possess a good telephone manner. 
•  Be computer literate, email, Word and Excel.
•   Carry and be capable or using all security equipment necessary to efficiently perform the duties required of a professional security officer. 
•  A consistently smart appearance in the uniform provided and required by Unitrust and its clients. 
• Reliability, energetic, self-motivation and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision. Be able to cope with multiple tasks in a calm professional manner. 
•  Excellent timekeeping at all times. 
•  The ability, tact and diplomacy to deal with people at all levels including the client, the client’s tenants and visitors in all circumstances including emergencies and other times of stress. 
• Self-confidence and an interest in self-development.
