Patrol Officer - Coventry

Professional Security are currently seeking SIA Licensed patrol officers to join our team at the Coventry business improvement district.

Hours - Friday and Saturday nights - 

Duties

• Providing a polite, friendly, professional security presence
• Be able to write detailed statements for evidence purposes and submit incident reports to the client.
• The BID officers patrol and respond rapidly to calls from members. The officers have dedicated patrol routes which cover the whole of the Coventry BID area, ensuring they have high visibility for the safety of staff and the public and are regularly seen by members each day.
• Dealing with anti-social behaviour, aggressive begging and shop theft are just some of the areas the officers get involved in, supporting West Midlands Police. They also provide a visible, reassuring presence to visitors to the city who often ask for directions and assistance.
• Providing excellent customer service
• Visiting local businesses promoting the work of the BID
• Encouraging a culture of security awareness and loss prevention across the local area
• Working closely with the local police neighbourhood team, client management and other key stakeholders
• Be able to write detailed statements for evidence purposes and submitting incident reports to the client.
• Promoting local attractions and events
• Distributing literature on behalf of the BID to local businesses
• Escalating issues raised by local businesses to client management.
• Effective use of the BID/city radio link and body worn camera equipment

Essential Experience

• Applicants must hold a valid SIA Door Supervision or Security Guarding licence. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applications from non-licence holders.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of the Coventry city centre/ inner ring road area is preferred.
• Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Previous security experience is required.
