Mobile Support Officer

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Support Officer in the Sunderland area. This is an exciting and challenging role as you will be responsible for a variety of duties. You will ensure that assigned tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner to meet client's requirements and to maintain outstanding customer service.

An Overview of some of your main responsibilities:

• Keyholding duties for sites when the client, its partners and customers caretakers are unavailable.
• Protect the building, staff, and service users, conduct regular thorough patrols ensuring it meets all current fire regulations.
• Monitor and log visitors, dissuade any individuals trying to tailgate.
• To fulfill any temporary assignments such as assisting client, council officers, Police, and other partners in joint visits to support any closure orders, injunctions, evictions, issuance of any documentations.
• Will be tasked to locations to report on any evidence of antisocial behaviour including rough sleepers, drugs paraphernalia, fly tipping, illegal encampments.
• Delivery of documentation / service of legal documents.
• Provide access to vacant sites requested by the client.
• Daily park gate locking and unlocking duties.
• Undertake CCTV download requested by the CCTV Control Room.
• Undertake welfare checks on static security sites and dog handlers.
• Provide roof and lift access to Client Contractors.
• Investigate reports of noise nuisance and provide reports.
• Protect the building staff / service users, conduct regular thorough patrols ensuring it meets all current fire regulations.
• Monitor and log visitors, dissuade any individuals trying to tailgate.
• Assisting the Client Civil Protection Team in the event of any emergency situations this would include providing security, transportation of staff members and the delivery of goods. Assisting at rest centres.
• To write clear and legible incident reports, complete daily occurrence logs these are to be submitted to the contractor’s management immediately.
• Some additional duties might include scanning, photocopying, preparing mail, and signing in/out of visitors and body worn cameras.

To succeed in this role you will need the following:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong customer focus.
• SIA licence - Manned Guarding (SG) or Door Supervisor (DS) - mandatory.
• Driving Licence - mandatory
• Clear DBS - mandatory.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• A professional demeanour with sound judgement and integrity.
• Able to recognise, defuse and resolve conflict situations
• Able to use a body worn camera and have a knowledge of the legislation around its use
• Knowledge of relevant legislation which may be used by the security personnel to undertake their duties, particularly in relation to the detention or eviction of people from a site
• Able to identify and deal with problems and know when to refer to Supervisory staff or Emergency Services
• Able to maintain a good level of concentration for the duration of their shift.
• Able to retain and accurately recall detailed information, such as a person’s description.
• Able to clearly write reports and complete forms to evidential standard
• Able to manage time effectively
