Job Title: Security Concierge Location: Southampton Employer: NGS Security Ltd 

Pay: £12.21 per hour 

Contract: Permanent, Full-time Hours available: Ideally 4 on, 4 off – primarily nights with some weekend day shifts

Overview: We are recruiting for a professional, service-driven Security Concierge to support a premium PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation) site in Southampton. This role blends traditional security functions with a high-touch, hospitality-style concierge service, ensuring both resident safety and an outstanding front-of-house experience.

Essential Requirements:

Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding)

Right to Work in the UK (no student visa or restricted permits)

Fluent spoken and written English

Minimum 2 years in PBSA, high-end residential, hotel, hospitality or concierge settings

Availability for night shifts and flexible weekend coverage

Strong IT skills and digital reporting competence

Available from the 21st July

Desirable Certifications:

First Aid - (with SIA Qualification)

Fire Warden Training - Training given if not 

Mental Health First Aid - Training given if not 

Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk & Customer Interaction:

Serve as the first point of contact for residents, guests, and contractors

Deliver hotel-style service with professional appearance and empathy

Offer assistance with luggage, directions, amenities, and event registration

Access Control & Safety:

Manage site access and ensure safety protocols are followed

Respond to intruder, fire, and personal safety alarms

Conduct building patrols and log findings digitally with photos and detailed notes

Concierge & Lifestyle Services:

Arrange local services (e.g., dry cleaning, taxis), and assist with lockouts

Provide in-room parcel delivery (where permitted), VIP guest management

Support resident events and maintain a polished front-of-house environment

Sales & Engagement Support:

Lead structured room viewings for prospective residents

Confidently present property features and handover leads to the sales team

Emergency Coordination:

Take lead during fire or other emergencies

Coordinate evacuation, liaise with emergency services

Complete accurate incident reporting and post-incident reviews

Reporting & Professionalism:

Log all incidents, checks, and risks through digital platforms

Ensure confidentiality and serve as a trusted liaison between residents and site management
