Duty Hotel Security Officer

Requirement for Duty Hotel Security Officers:

Previous security experience is required. Previous Hotel Security experience is preferable.  Previous experience working on high end Event, Hotel Bar shifts or Blue-chip Corporate sites.

Training will be provided for the right candidates.  

No fixed shift pattern, this varies week to week.  But candidates must be willing to work 12hr shifts, a mixture of Dayshifts and Nightshifts.

Shift start times vary for Hotel to Hotel, Generally Dayshifts 07:00 to 19:00, 07:30 to 19:00 or 08:00 to 20:00.  Nightshifts start times 19:00,19:30 or 20:00.  

Candidates need to have a good physical presence and must have the highest grooming standards expected for working in 5 Star luxury brand hotels in London. 

Rate of pay starts from £13 (Can be discussed further at interview).

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol the hotel premises to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, and incidents, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
• Enforce hotel policies and regulations to maintain a secure and welcoming environment.
• Conduct regular security inspections and risk assessments, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches.
• Assist in the training and supervision of junior security staff and ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns related to security with professionalism and courtesy.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a security or law enforcement role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, staff, and external agencies.
• Knowledge of security systems and technologies, including surveillance cameras and access control systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Valid security license and certifications as per local regulations.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform regular patrols and respond to emergencies.
