Retail Security Officer

At ASG we undertake security operations for a range of different clients, therefore you will be required to undertake a variety of security roles. We pride ourselves on providing ongoing support and additional/ongoing training to our staff members.

Each day in the life of a security guard at ASG is never the same.
 

• You will be a visual uniformed security officer carrying out routine patrols of the shopping centre, indoor & outdoor, front and back of the house.
• You will be customer-facing speaking with members of the public and team members, responding dealing with situations that arise, and reporting back to the site manager.
• Lock up/unlock procedures.
• Use of a radio system is also required and all training will be provided.
• Fire alarm testing & Health & safety training will be provided.
• An integral part of the site’s security team.
   

What you need to have

• Holder a valid, in date SIA License. Either security Guard or Door Supervisor (Frontline).
• A CCTV operator’s license is essential for the role. 
• 5 Year checkable work history & the correct right to work documents.
• Have good communication skills and fluent English.
• You must be punctual and have the ability to think on your feet.
• Have a proactive outlook to work and be able to show initiative.
• First aid trained is preferred but not essential as this can be obtained upon employment. 
• Have a strong understanding of your duties as a Security Officer ideally with 12 months experience.
• Willingness to go the extra mile and show strong observational skills.
• Maintain a smart and professional appearance.

• £9.36 averaging 38.5 hrs per week. 
• Day shifts, 1015-1815, 1215-1815, 0745-1815
• Holiday entitlement & Pension contribution
