Security Dog Handler

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our large General Purpose Patrol dog section. We are looking for dedicated hard working professional operatives that want to be a part of a large-scale project in the heart of London, this position requires you to complete foot patrols in and around the busy West End.

County Security are a leading K9 company across the United Kingdom for the use and deployment of General-Purpose patrol Dog teams and detection dogs. We are an ACS Approved Contractor (SIA Approved Contractor), ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 approved business with an eye for detail when it comes to K9 deployments.

Job Details:

Job Title – General Purpose Patrol Dog Handler

Rate - £13.05 Per hour, (Contracted Full time hours)

Available Shift Patterns – 4on 4 off, 5on 2 off, 6 on 2off

Shift Times – Days – 10:00-19:00Hrs & Nights – 19:00-07:00Hrs

Full time PAYE only positions

The Role:

• A highly visible Patrol dog team to actively act as a visual deterrent against crime in the West End of London
• Moving on Homeless people, dealing with antisocial behaviour and other incidents that take place within your allocated Zone
• A high level of communication and understanding in order to be able to communicate with the public, emergency services & our client
• Assisting and approachable with members of the public
• Engaging with business owners and large corporate brands whilst out on patrol and ensuring the needs of the individual clients are met.
• Must be confident and physically fit to able to provide the large foot patrols with your K9 to provide that visible deterrent
• Working closely with other security officers and security teams to help deliver the project across the client’s portfolio
• Provide First Aid to members of the public in a First Person on Scene role
• Be able to document and provide reports to our clients on incidents and intel act on intelligence and be a key team player.

About You:

• Hold a full SIA Licence
• First Aid & Defib Trained (Training will be provided)
• Must of a good command of the English Language
• Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.
• Valid driving Licence 2+ years
• Must be 25 + due to company vehicle policy
• All applicants must pass BS7858, so you must have a right to work in the UK, A 5 Year checkable work history and proof of identification
• Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users.
• Reliable, Responsible and Punctual
• Able to work in a team as well as on your own
• Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner
• Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk for extended periods when asked
• Confident in writing incident and shift reports
• The ability to be pro-active and think on your feet and use your own initiative
• To have a smart appearance
• Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific duties
