Security Supervisor

Job Purpose

The Security Supervisor is responsible for the overall management and control of the sites’ security operation. 

Job Overview 

As a Security Supervisor, you will be in charge of the day-to-day management of the security team, and control room as well as ensuring professional training of all security staff. Maintain a high standard of performance ensuring both you and your team meet the highest level of professionalism.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Motivate and develop your team, leading and ensuring a best-in-class service via a fully functioning team
• Roster and forward planning reporting officers to ensure sufficient cover for holidays, sickness and holidays 
• Maintain positive employee relations and ensure coaching, counselling and any investigations are implemented in line with company policy 
• Ensure site documentation is kept up to date 
• Monitor faults with security-related equipment, ensuring they are reported correctly 
• Be vigilant and on the lookout for any incident or suspicious activity
• Monitor access control, CCTV, Detection and alarm systems 

Requirments

• A valid SIA licence - Door Supervisor licence 
• Right to work in the UK and have a five-year checkable employment record
• Confident and presentable
• Excellent communication skills 
• Experience managing and leading a team 
• Competent in MS Word, Excel and Email 
• Adaptable and responsive to challenges, plans and schedules
• Health and Safety at work 
• First Aid at work training certificate
