Security Officer Yeovil

We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for Security Officers to join our team!

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with overtime and support for developing your skills and your career through ongoing in-house and accredited training.

We are also offering a £250 bonus when you successfully complete your security clearance!

Your responsibilities:

• Working with the security team on site.
• Patrolling inside and outside, day and night, even in bad weather.
• Controlling site access at various points.
• Ensuring perimeter and building security through patrols.
• Enforcing visitor access rules and checks.
• Handling emergencies like evacuations.
• Searching vehicles for security compliance.
• Following Assignment Instructions (AIs) for locking/unlocking.
• Recording incidents and reports neatly.
• Being a visible security presence.
• Registering contractors, managing badges, and directing visitors.
• Controlling access, directing traffic, and deterring crime.
• Maintaining site security with patrols and searches.
• Operating control room, gatehouse, and reception systems.

Please note that due to the nature of this opportunity, candidates must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) Clearance

Essential Skills:

• Valid SIA license
• Resident in the UK for at least 5 years (for BPSS / SC purposes)
• Full UK driving license
• First Aid at Work
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented at all times.
• Customer-focused, polite, tactful, and discrete.

Desired Skills:

• Previous security experience is desirable but not essential
