Safeguarding Security Officer - Chafford Hundred

Role: Proactively patrol client infrastructure to ensure safety, prevent antisocial behavior, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Offer high-profile reassurance to reduce unauthorized railway access and ticketless travel.
• Interact with customers, providing reassurance and excellent service.
• Prevent and detect crime and antisocial behavior through proactive deployments.
• Enforce railway byelaws and maintain a visible security presence.
• Update daily logs and activity sheets.
• Assist in times of disruption, addressing customer needs.
• Conduct security checks and deliver crime prevention measures.
• Manage situations per protocols and engage with the British Transport Police.
• Reduce ticketless travel.
• Assist with crowd control.
• Attend briefings with British Transport Police.
• Implement company values.

Patrol Responsibilities:

• Identify suspicious items or individuals.
• Follow protocols for handling suspect packages or people.
• Manage disruptive groups and enforce no-smoking policies.
• Handle individuals under the influence.
• Address situations involving young or vulnerable individuals.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

• Comply with health & safety instructions.
• Use safety equipment and report any loss.
• Follow company policies and report accidents and incidents.
• Be aware of personal security.
• Comply with fire and emergency arrangements.

Licences/Certifications:

• RSAS (required)

Experience:

• Customer service: 2 years (required)
