Safeguarding Security Officer - Grays

Role: Patrol client infrastructure to maintain safety, deter antisocial behavior, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Offer high-profile reassurance and reduce unauthorized access.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Prevent and detect crime and antisocial behavior.
• Enforce railway byelaws and maintain a visible security presence.
• Update logs and activity sheets.
• Assist in times of disruption.
• Conduct security checks and deliver crime prevention measures.
• Reduce ticketless travel.
• Assist with crowd control.
• Attend briefings with British Transport Police.
• Implement company values.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

• Follow client's Safety Manual instructions.
• Use safety equipment and report losses.
• Avoid misuse of safety-related items.
• Prevent actions that endanger individuals.
• Report accidents, incidents, and near misses within 24 hours.
• Maintain personal security awareness.
• Adhere to company policies.
• Know fire and emergency procedures.

Person Specification:

• Proficient in verbal and written communication.
• Proactive and compliant with health & safety rules.
• Effective team player with initiative and independence.

Experience:

• Customer service: 2 years (required)

Licences/Certifications:

• RSAS (required)
