    Description

    Location: Site Based (Remote Working available when providing extra cover)
    Site Address: Vicon House, 2 Western Way, Bury St Edmunds
    Postcode: IP33 3SP

    Salary: Pay Rate £11.25ph (Paid monthly on the 14th of every month)

    Contract: Permanent

    Hours Per Week: 06:00 - 18:00 & 18:00 - 06:00 - 54 hours per week

    Shift Rota: 4 Days, 2 Off, 4 Nights, 2 Off

    Role Overview

    We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Security Analyst to join our passionate and driven Security Operations Centre Team.

    This is an excellent opportunity to start or further your career in the expanding modern Security Operations Sector. You will be part of the team that delivers operational excellence in the following key areas:

    Additionally, as the Security Operations Centre develops into a flagship hub you will become involved in cyber solutions, security communications and security updates.

    You will be required to work closely with the Health and Safety team to provide safety advice and support. Furthermore, you will be required to ensure that safety initiatives are implemented within your areas of operation.

    About You:

    • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
    • Experience in Control Room Operations is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
    • Computer literate
    • A willingness to learn.
    • Solid organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and achieve tight deadlines
    • Ability to accurately follow detailed processes
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a strong teamwork ethic
    • A positive attitude and ability to deal with pressure professionally
    • A highly motivated individual

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitoring and responding to calls and requests from varying client locations and staff
    • Monitoring all site CCTV system cameras and alarms and responding as required in line with procedures
    • Identify any potential security vulnerabilities and escalate accordingly. Ensure that all sites are always secure
    • Understand the escalation procedures relating to issues or incidents and know when to escalate or deal locally
    • Report to the Security Operations Centre Supervisor any incident outside of your experience or control and follow all actions and issues as required
    • Demonstrate an excellent understanding of all systems in use in the Security Operations Centre
    • Carry out daily equipment checks to ensure system serviceability and escalate any faults identified to the appropriate service partner
    • Receive out-of-hours calls from the client Helpdesk and escalate as required in line with procedures.
    • Support security gate operatives by dealing quickly and effectively with all Access Control issues raised and troubleshooting access issues
    • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required
    • Produce high-quality Reports relating to all Incidents in a timely manner
    • Carry out guarding control administration using various software (full training will be given) 
    • Facilitate guards booking on and off via Timegate (full training will be given)
    • Follow check call and missed check call procedures
