Female Security Officer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Female Security Officer for the educational sector, who will demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users throughout all Campuses of University of Westminster.

The Security Officer will need to control the safe access/egress to designated venues in line with current procedures and client requirements, to maintain good order and public safety at client’s premises, to take all reasonable and required measures to protect the Clients property, staff and visitors.

INFORMATION

• Position: Female Security Officer
• Location: Central London - Marylebone
• Pay Rate: £13.15 per hour
• Hours: Average 42 hours per week
• Shifts: 4 on 4 off Days

Job Role / Requirements:

• SIA Door Supervisor Licence required
• Security Experience is required – ideally in the educational sector
• Must have good command of English Language
• Excellent communication both written & verbal
• Excellent levels of customer service at all times
• Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site
• IT skills required – word, excel, office
• This position involves internal and external patrolling throughout the shift
• Female Officer required for this educational site for searching purposes

Job Role:

• Looking for an approachable and customer focused person to assist in the day to day running of the site
• You will be the first point of contact for students, University visitors and contractors, both face to face and through use of telephone and email
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or on your own initiative
• Responding to emergencies and alarm activations
• To maintain effective communication with the Campus Security Supervisor on a daily and weekly basis through handover and reporting of faults
• Be proactive and flexible in managing workload and responsibilities
• Maintain housekeeping of site, Daily audit and key checks to be carried out, Daily audit of CCTV and security equipment to be carried out, Weekly Fire, Panic and Lift checks, ensuring that the entries in the Daily Occurrence logbook are accurate and that the logbook has been filled in correctly
• Site procedures as per Assignment Instructions to be adhered to without fail. Communicate and inform the Campus Security Supervisor if this is not possible
• Support the Campus Security Supervisor in reporting of site related H&S issues
• Reception Duties, Access Control Duties, Administrative Tasks, Incident Report Writing, Patrolling Internally & Externally, Car Park Duties
• All other reasonable and/or security/customer service-related tasks as required by client and/or instructed by the Site Supervisor
