Factory Security Guard

Job Purpose 

An SIA Security Guard is a vital role, being the first point of contact for visitors and responsible for protecting property or people by patrolling sites and acting as access control.  Initially this is a fluid contract which currently continues to September. It is every other weekend and starts this weekend.

Job Overview 

In this role, you will be responsible to patrol a factory premises every hour. An office and desk is supplied with a view of site CCTV. You will be expected to report any instances and act accordingly. Hot water, microwave and parking on site.

Dress code, is black trousers, clean black shoes/boots, black or white collared shirt (polo acceptable) Security Tac vest supplied.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Regular patrols, internally and externally 
• Ensure the safety of the assigned site, visitors and valuables 
• Report and record any emergency or incident that occurs at the site
• Respond to all security incidents and write detailed incident reports 
• Greet visitors in a polite and professional manner
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business 

Requirements 

• A valid SIA licence - Door Supervsior or SIA licence 
• Right to work in the UK 
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions 
• Physical fitness and endurance
• Punctual and reliable 
• Calm and professional but assertive to defuse any conflict situations 
• Good observation skills and attention to detail
