Job Purpose

Working as an Event Security Steward you will be ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone who falls under your responsibility (including customers, staff and the public in your area).  

Job Overview 

As a member of the Event Staff, you will be an essential part of the venue safety team. You will support the security staff and teams to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and secure working environment for both staff and guests. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and employees in a professional and courteous manner and providing a positive customer experience
• Assist the security incident reporting and crowd management to ensure the safety, security and care of staff and guests
•  Full of energy and capable of remaining calm under pressure, you will have a warm personality and good observation abilities, 
• Take a responsible approach to the venue/event customer service function. 

Requirements 

• SIA Door Supervisor / SIA Close Protection Licence (Required)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Reliable with a good attendance record
• Must be able to work in a team and alone
• Presentable and smart
• Be confident in communicating at all levels
• First Aid certificate (preferred but not essential)
• Experience in working at large events
• ACT Awareness e-learning certificate (required)
• ACT Security e-learning certificate (Required)
