The role
Carlisle Support Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our Events team, working with our prestigious client at their world-class venue. If this sounds like you, and you’re willing to learn new skills to develop your career, we promise to provide full training and all the support you’ll need to help you to succeed.
Due to an upcoming event we require temporary event stewards to help us deliver across a minimum of 3 days. There may be a possibility for on going work beyond the event which will be on a casual basis- this will be discussed at interview.
Dates required: 22nd September 2024- 25th September 2024
Pay: £12 per hour
Location: L3 4FP
Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:
Providing guidance, information and directing customers as a first point of contact
Providing an excellent level of venue knowledge and customer service
Managing and following safety and security processes and procedures
Monitoring and controlling crowds
Preventing unlawful entry into venues
Ensuring safe entry and exit of customers
Checking tickets and accreditation
Managing conflict
Working as part of a team
Is this you
At least 18 years old- required to work in a licenced environment
Reliable, punctual, flexible, and smart in appearance
Friendly, approachable, and always professional
Enthusiastic and motivated to do a great job
Ideally some experience an events environment or a customer care role
Able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner
Level 2 certificate in Spectator Safety, or willingness to obtain the qualification (desirable)
Willing to work at other Carlisle Events venues across the region (desirable)
Successful candidates will need to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include the following: passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, original payslip, birth certificate or a valid share code.
