Corporate Security Officer

Job Purpose

The purpose is to develop and maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.

Job Overview 

A Corporate Security Officer is in charge of safeguarding the safety and security of our client's property and its visitors. Your responsibilities will include interacting with employees and ensuring that visitors enter the building using the proper process. You will need a positive attitude toward people and challenges.  The site location is Ampthill, Bedfordshire.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• You will be the first line of defence against any potential threat to both the client's employees and visitors.
• You will be alert to suspicious behaviour and activity.
• You may need to deal with any conflict in an appropriate manner if required, and ensure that activities are accurately recorded, reported, and documented in high-quality (verbal and/or written) reports.
• You will need to interact with members of the public and have the capacity to act with integrity and honesty while treating people with respect in challenging situations. 
• Rolling roster of days and nights with an average per week of 56 hours.  Further details to be discussed if invited to interview.

Requirements 

• A valid SIA licence - Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence 
• Be always alert and vigilant to detect suspicious behaviour and activity 
• Be physically fit and smart in appearance
• Be able to patrol inside and outside in all weather
• Possess excellent concentration skills 
• Good front of house and customer service skills
• Be able to communicate clearly with team members and people 
• Please note that due to our client's business the successful candidate will be asked to apply for SC clearance once they have started.
