Description
Provide cover for two distribution centres, ideally situated in the Staffordshire area, able to travel to east midlands gateway and Coleshill. To provide an efficient and effective Security Service, ensuring high standards are delivered and maintained.
Duties include regular patrols, regular check calls and logs.
Ensure the effective monitoring of visitors and employees on-site, conducting random searches and assisting to maintain high levels of security on sites.
Shifts Available- 12hr shifts
Hr Rate - £12 per hour
7am-7pm- Days
7pm-7am Nights
About You:
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
SIA License is essential.
Experience in security provision is desirable.
High levels of professional integrity.
First aid trained desirable.
Clean driving licence and own transport.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Site Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the assigned premises, to ensure the security of the site. This includes inspecting all areas, including perimeters, entrances, exits, and common areas, to identify any security breaches, suspicious activities, or safety hazards.
- Access Control: Monitor access points, such as gates, doors, and barriers, to prevent unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment. Verify the identity of individuals entering the premises, issue visitor passes or badges as necessary, and enforce access protocols in accordance with site regulations.
- Security Monitoring: Monitor and surveil the premises continuously. Promptly respond to any security alerts, alarms, or unusual activities detected through monitoring systems, and take appropriate action to address potential threats or breaches.
- Incident Response: Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, or disturbances on the premises. This includes assessing the situation, implementing security protocols and procedures, and coordinating with emergency services or relevant authorities when necessary to ensure the safety of individuals and property.
- Report Writing: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts. Prepare written reports documenting any incidents, security breaches, or notable activities, and submit them to management and/or law enforcement as required.
- Customer Service: Provide a professional and courteous presence on-site, assisting residents, visitors, and employees with inquiries, directions, and any security-related concerns. Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and members of the community, representing the organization in a positive light.
- Safety and Risk Management: Identify potential safety hazards or risks on the premises and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with other security personnel, team members, and managers to ensure seamless coordination of security operations. Communicate important information, updates, and instructions clearly and promptly to relevant parties, both verbally and in writing.
- Adherence to Regulations: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing security operations, including those set forth by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and other regulatory bodies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
