Security Officer

Portal Security are looking for Security officers to join the team at Uxbridge Colleges. This will be an exciting opportunity to be part of a hard-working team in a fast paced environment. This role is a Monday to Friday role with occasional Saturdays/Sundays as optional overtime. This position will be on a 39-week per year basis, term-time only with the opportunity for overtime during school holidays.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• To provide an efficient and effective Security Service for all students, staff and visitors, and ensuring high standards are delivered and maintained at all times.
• To conduct regular external patrols, static internal and external posts.
• Ensure the effective safeguarding of students and staff on-site.
• Control access and egress onto the campus.
• Provide a safe and welcome environment.

About You:

• Door Supervisor SIA Licence essential.
• First Aid qualification essential.
• You will be required to have an Enhanced DBS check.
• Safeguarding qualification essential.
• Comprehensive 5 year employment history for vetting.
• Previous experience as a security officer in an education setting.
• High levels of professionalism and integrity.
• Team Player
• Previous experience with two-way radios & telephone equipment essential.
• Excellent communication skills
