Security Officer

Job Purpose 

A Care Home Security Officer is vital in providing a safe and secure working environment for patients and healthcare staff.

Job Overview

You will be interacting with members of the public and have the capacity to act with integrity and honesty while treating people with respect in challenging situations.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the prevention of acts of violence, crime or disorder
• Attending and managing emergencies, including fire evacuation, conflict management and physical intervention.
• Identifying and reporting Health & Safety issues and carrying out first aid if necessary
• Maintaining records including incident reports and daily occurrence logs.  
• Investigating and writing detailed reports on incidents, liaising with police and other third parties as necessary

Requirements

• A valid SIA licence - Door Supervisor Licence 
• Document to prove eligibility to work within the UK if applicable
• Applicants must have updated Enhanced DBS 
• Excellent command of English – both oral and written 
•  Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security
• Be confident working in a hospital environment and have aware that you may come in contact with people who are unwell, vulnerable, or showing signs of distress
