Position: Security Officer (Distribution Centre)

Location: London, Perivale, NW10

Pay Rate: £13.50

Hours: 48 hours per week, 12 hour shifts

Job Purpose 

A Distribution Centre Security Officer protects the safety of the premises while providing support, direction, and information to all employees, visitors, and contractors.

 Job Overview 

In this role, you will be expected to increase site security by maintaining a constant presence across the facility.

 Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms, protect the site against unlawful access and perform routine security equipment tests
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed while controlling the staff, visitors and contractors' access to the premises
• Record and report any hazards and unsafe working practices
• Where necessary, you will need to undertake the necessary legal restraints and control in a professional manner
• Maintain daily reports of any accidents or incidents and ensure the necessary action is taken

 Requirements 

• A valid SIA licence - Door Supervisor/Security Guarding Licence (Essential)
• 5-year work/education record
• Right to work in the UK
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent administration skills
• Must be punctual with excellent time-management skills
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Physical fitness and endurance 
• Good report writing skills
• Conflict management aware
