Description

At TriGuard, we believe that security goes beyond simply monitoring a site. It is about creating a safe, secure, and supportive environment for the people who rely on our services.

As a Care Warden working across our clients’ supported housing facilities, you will play an important role in protecting the safety, security, and wellbeing of residents, staff, and visitors.

This role is specifically for individuals seeking weekend/nightime work and combines proactive security, resident-focused interaction, safeguarding awareness, and a range of operational duties.

“Our mission is to protect their mission.”

Applicants must therefore be available to work:

  • Night shifts
  • Day shifts
  • Regular weekend work as required

Additional shifts may occasionally become available for those who would like to work additional hours.

Key Responsibilities

The role of Care Warden is varied, and you will be required to undertake a range of duties, including but not limited to:

  • Monitoring CCTV systems to identify and respond to unusual, suspicious, or unsafe activity.
  • Completing regular patrols of the premises and checking for security breaches, hazards, maintenance concerns, and other issues requiring attention.
  • Carrying out welfare-related duties and responding appropriately to concerns regarding residents.
  • Accurately completing all required documentation, including daily occurrence logs, incident reports, welfare records, handovers, and first-aid documentation.
  • Identifying and reporting maintenance or repair requirements that may affect the safety, security, or functionality of the site.
  • Liaising professionally with emergency services, local authorities, clients, support teams, and other relevant agencies.
  • Completing identity and access checks and managing entry and exit points to ensure that only authorised individuals are permitted access.
  • Delivering a high standard of customer service to residents, clients, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Responding calmly, professionally, and proportionately to incidents, emergencies, disputes, and challenging situations.
  • Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries when working within supported housing environments.
  • Ensuring that the security office and surrounding work areas remain clean, tidy, organised, and free from hazards.

At TriGuard, we pride ourselves on being more than a security provider. We are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of the people we protect.

Our commitment to Securing Excellence is reflected not only in the services we provide, but also in the training, guidance, and ongoing support we provide to our team members.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence.
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Have access to a reliable vehicle that you can use to travel to and from work.
  • Be available to work weekend daytime shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Be proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and accurately with residents, clients, colleagues, emergency services, and other agencies.
  • Be able to complete reports, logs, handovers, welfare records, and other operational documentation to the required standard.
  • Demonstrate excellent punctuality, reliability, and timekeeping.
  • Remain calm, professional, and composed when dealing with incidents or challenging situations.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and an appropriate understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
  • Show an understanding, compassionate, and respectful approach when working with residents, including individuals who may have complex or additional needs.

Safeguarding and Background Checks

Due to the nature of the environments in which we operate and the individuals we support, successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate screening and background checks.

Five-Year Employment History Check:
You must provide a complete employment history covering the previous five years and account for any gaps in employment.

Employment References:
We will contact relevant previous employers from within the last five years to verify your employment history.

Additional right-to-work, identity, licensing, and background checks may also be completed as part of the recruitment and onboarding process.

Experience and Training

Previous security experience is not essential, as full and comprehensive training will be provided.

We welcome applications from individuals who meet the essential requirements and can demonstrate the right attitude, reliability, professionalism, judgement, and commitment to supporting others.

Working within supported housing can involve contact with individuals experiencing a range of complex circumstances. We therefore particularly value candidates who can remain professional, respectful, observant, and composed while maintaining clear boundaries.

Benefits

We offer a range of benefits to ensure that our team members feel supported and valued, including:

  • Regular weekend work
  • Opportunities for additional shifts and overtime
  • Weekly pay
  • Mobile app access

  • Career progression opportunities
  • 24/7 operational support
  • Experience working within a specialist supported housing security environment
