Floating Security Officers – London, Guildford, Windsor & Woking

Britplan Security Solutions Ltd is looking for reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic Floating Security Officers to support our teams across several sites.

Most of our work is in London, but you must also be willing and able to travel to Guildford, Windsor and Woking. Flexibility in both location and working hours is key to this role.

The role

You’ll cover holidays, absences and additional staffing requirements, getting to know different buildings, clients and teams along the way.

Your duties will include:

• Providing a professional, welcoming presence for tenants and visitors.
• Carrying out patrols, access control and other site security duties.
• Responding to incidents and clearly reporting concerns.
• Following each site’s Assignment Instructions and procedures.
• Working day shifts, night shifts, weekends and bank holidays as required.

Who we’re looking for

We want someone who turns up ready, takes pride in their work and is happy to learn. You don’t need to know every building on day one, but you do need to ask questions, listen and get stuck in.

You’ll need:

• A valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A reliable, professional approach and the confidence to work independently.
• Flexibility to cover different shifts and locations, sometimes at short notice.
• Ability to plan travel and arrive on time, including for early starts and late finishes.
• A willingness to learn different site procedures and become a trusted member of the team.
• Experience across corporate or front-of-house security sites would be an advantage.
